Chicago Jazz Quartet
 

The Chicago Jazz Quartet is a welcome addition to this year's Sunset Concert Cruise lineup. The group has made a stellar effort in recreating the sounds of traditional jazz as it was originally played on the south side of Chicago by jazz innovators who migrated from New Orleans and Kansas City. The Chicago Jazz Quartet features four exceptional musicians: Dan Palmer on clarinet, Bob Maynard on vibes, Andy Mertens on string bass, and Bob Ventre on guitar. The combined effort of this quartet is to recreate the ambience and the excitement of being on Chicago's South Side during the early 1900's when jazz was king.
